Hi guys, I've had pretty good luck with Traktor Pro and getting my tags updated. If you're having trouble, here are some things to try: 1. Make sure your files are MP3 2. Run a consistency check on the collection in Traktor by right clicking on the collection folder 3. 5.10.1 Consistency Check. The Consistency Check Report provides an overview of your Track Collection by providing options to help you manage it. In the Browser Tree, right-/Ctrl-click the Track Collection Icon and select Check Consistency from the menu. Once TRAKTOR has run the check, the Consistency Check Report will appear showing the results.

I bought a Traktor S2 last year and have been unable to get it to function properly. My music is in itunes (latest software version installed) located on an external 1 TB hard drive (which is working properly).
I am able to play the sample tracks included w/the original S2 software download and those files are working normally however, I cannot load any tracks or playlists from itunes into the software. I get the following error message: ”File can not be played: the file may be missing, corrupt or unsupported”. After I renamed the external drive (from Z to M – oddly enough this only partially worked but I don’t know why) it found & analyzed only about 10% of my files. Also, when I start a new session (shutdown, then restart) Traktor cannot find files it was previously able to find (I had not modified or relocated those files). Cooking master boy anime download. I deleted the itunes folder, from which I was trying to load onto my S2, and created a new one. This still did not work. I tried right-clicking on the tracks that will not load but when I do this I do not get the option to relocate the file (I have not changed any file names or locations).
I have scoured the NI forums, trying everything others with the same issue have suggested and nothing is working. I do not see this issue addressed in the NI Knowledge Base. Also notable, NI customer service has been absolutely abysmal and I have found working with them (or trying to) extremely frustrating. I was going to ditch my S2 and go with Serato but since I’m stuck with a controller I cannot return, I thought I could probably get a lot further with all of you than I could with them. I have also searched the forum here for answers so if the appropriate thread does exist, please point me in that direction.

WHat CPUCan you access & play the problem tracks in a regular mp3 player program? It may be that your external hard drive is failing first off. If they play ok then read on . . .
Seeing as you have scoured already for answers or clues and drawn a blank rather struggle on bite the bullet and start from scratch. Rebuild the whole operating system on the laptop from a new installation (not an over the top install), install traktor, and async the entire contents of your music library all over again. Allocate your hard drive the next available drive letter in the chain of drives on your system, this is only a personal preference as this just keeps your drives in order. Do not change the drive letter after async’ing all your tracks. Should the problem exist after all this at least you will have that task ticked off. At the moment you are in limbo with a system that isn’t working and there is this option you can take. I do feel confident this will sort this problem and realise it is a drastic measure. The most labourious part I guess is async’ing all your tracks if you have a large library but it is just a waiting game. Good luck 🙂If I got you right this is the cure. In traktor right click on track. click check consistency. If its a bad track there will be the number 1 next to total track and tracks missing. At top of drop down you will see missing track in the middle. click that. Go down a little and slide bar to the right so you can see the rest of the page in the box. you will see the file name and drive that its located in. ( ex sample. Its in the c drive ) remember the drive. go down and (click relocate). Click C drive , Folder where the song is located, then click that song twice. your done. the reason you have that problem is you either changed the name of the song or folder. good luck Peyeinthesky.

For TRAKTOR LE users, the functions in TRAKTOR that allow for this content to be created (Remix Sets and Recordings) are not available. Traktor Pro 2 Software
I’m curious to know how often does everyone allow Traktor to finish it’s consistency check after the music folders have been imported and such? Is it necessary to run it each time you open Traktor especially if you haven’t added or deleted any songs?
I used to only run it at home, with my external HD hooked up to my big ass PC. On big libraries it takes forever. Not something you want to start running as you are setting up at a gig.

C.I run it about once a month (just to check that nothings gone missing/not been analysed) or when I manually move some mp3’s on my hard drive. Never run it during a gig, it takes forvever!

If you’re a DJ who likes to mix in key, then Native Instruments’ latest update to TRAKTOR PRO 3 is for you. Version 3.2, the “harmonic mixing update,” adds a set of features and tools designed to help DJs mix in key, as well as improvements to make your tracks sound better.
Currently, DJs can analyze a track in TRAKTOR PRO 3 to set its BPM and musical key. Choosing which track to play next is done manually by searching for a song with a similar key and tempo. The new update takes things up a notch.
TRAKTOR PRO 3.2 contains features such as highlighting tracks that match the key or are adjacent to the key of the song on the master deck.
There is also a new time-stretching algorithm, a key widget header, and the ability to pitch songs up or down in semitones. Another feature will display the offset between the resulting key and the original key to help avoid pitching too far and losing sound quality.
Version 3.2 also includes important fixes and improvements like giving the TRAKTOR S4 MK3 a headphone volume boost of +6dB. Check a list of updates and new features below.
New Features in TRAKTOR PRO 3.2:
- Elastique 3.3.0 Time Stretching: The time-stretching algorithms have been updated to the newest version. Your tracks will sound more present, and transients will maintain their definition when pitching up or down.
- New Key Widget replacing former Key Lock button: This new widget prominently provides the core features for harmonic mixing all in one place: Key Lock on/off, colored resulting key display, and semitone up/down controls. The new visual appearance can be toggled on/off in the preferences.
- Semitone up/down key control in Key Widget: When engaging Key Lock, the Key Widget displays semitone up/down buttons, enabling you to pitch the track up or down in musically-relevant steps.
- Display of resulting key in Key Widget: When engaging Key Lock, the button displays the original key of the playing track in the notation of your choice. This enables you to find the next matching track easily be following the rules of harmonic mixing.
- Display offset between resulting and original in Key Widget: When engaging Key Lock, the button below the resulting key displays the offset from the track’s original key in steps of semitones. This enables you to avoid offsets that are too large, which may result in audio degradation.
- Optionally display resulting key in Deck Header: The resulting key can also be displayed in the deck header by selecting the option “Resulting Key” in the Deck Header section of the “Track Decks” preferences tab. This value also displays the resulting key without engaging Key Lock by showing the closest full semitone along with the current offset in cents.
- Highlight for tracks matching the MASTER deck’s key: When engaging Key Lock on the current Master Deck, all matching keys will be highlighted in the browser, enabling you to select the next matching song in your set. How exactly the keys are highlighted can be personalized in a preference setting.
- Option to personalize highlighting of key color in browser: A new preference option in the “Browser” tab of the preferences allows you to customize the way, matching keys will be highlighted in the key column of the browser.
- Quantized semitone up/down controls on S4 MK3: The new quantized semitone control provided by the Key Widget has been applied to the Key Control on the S4MK3. This way shift + right encoder on the S4 now snaps to the closest full semitone.
- Display quantized resulting key on S4 MK3: The way the resulting key is displayed on the S4 MK3 has also been aligned with the Key Widget on the UI of TRAKTOR PRO.
- S4 MK3 headphone volume boost by +6dB: This version of TRAKTOR asks you to update your controller to firmware 060, which features a boost of the S4’s headphone volume by +6dB.
